Fertilitas
The private hospital Fertilitas started on 1 November 1993 in Nõmme. In the beginning they offered gynaecologial service; in 1994 they added obstetrics. In 1995 and 1996 they expanded to include additional areas of specialization, such as urology, surgery and plastic surgery. In 2000 the hospital earned the “Baby Friendly Hospital” certificate from UNICEF. Since 2002 Fertilitas has been a member of WHO Health-Promoting Hospitals.
In March 2004 Fertilitas moved from Nõmme to Haabneeme in Viimsi, where they opened a fully modernized treatment and diagnostic complex that comprises both an outpatient clinic and a stationary treatment department. They have a new surgery department with three operating rooms, an obstetrics department with two labor and delivery rooms and a 30-bed active treatment department. Their family birthing centre offers different birthing options (including water-birthing) and contemporary treatment and infertility diagnostics.
Today Fertilitas has a license in gynaecology, otorhinolaryngology, plastic surgery and orthopedics; besides this they also offer day surgery services in general surgery and urology. Doctors have modern diagnostic apparatuses at their disposal, and all necessary laboratory and visual diagnostic investigations are guaranteed to their patients via their contractual partners. Fertilitas treats patients in 19 areas of specialization and we have 49 specialist doctors.
